Tracey DeRosa

Hi, My name is Tracey DeRosa.

Recognizing the need for help while you are grieving takes courage. Congratulations on taking this first step.

I have been a bereavement facilitator for four years having served just over 300 people.  While the bereavement program is a “soft

landing zone” to help those suffering from loss I found the Grief Recovery Method “dives deep” into the emotional pain of the loss.

Personally, the action-based program of the Grief Recovery Method gave me the emotional tools to manage my own grief.  My losses include the death of my twin brother, death of a dear friend, loss of marriage and family unit and security due to sexual assault.  I can honestly say that the Method helped me specify what was emotionally incomplete and address it bringingmuch peace.

As an Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist, I will guide you through a step-by-step process that unlocks your emotional experience of grief. You will be given a set of tools to be used across a gamut of losses aiding in recovery.  This occurs over a finite time.

As an Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist, I would be honored to guide you through the process.  I provide these services in a safe,

non-judgmental and compassionate environment:

- One-to-One Support online or in person
- Group Support
- Pet Loss Program

Mike Healy

Hi, my name is Mike Healy.  Since 2022 I have partnered with Tracey DeRosa in facilitating many groups of persons who have suffered various losses.  My fifteen years (three as Clinical Director) in the NYC Transit Labor/Management Counseling Unit has aided me in this endeavor.  In addition, I have been a firefighter for over 50 years.  In  2012 I started, along with the National Volunteer Fire Council, a national hotline for first responders suffering from PTSD, substance abuse, and other behavioral issues.  In that capacity, I was also able to help my brother and sister firefighters along with their families.

What brought me to bereavement facilitation was the personal losses I experienced in 2020:  my wife of 46 years, my sister (and only sibling), and three other family members (one a nineteen-year old nephew by suicide).  In early 2021, I became proactive in my loss recovery by attending Tracey’s bereavement program and availing myself of other therapeutic resources.  It was strongly evident to me that seeking support was critical to my healing from multiple losses.

In November 2023, at the behest of Tracey, I enrolled in the Grief Recovery Method training program and attained the title of Grief Recovery Specialist.  The training not only helped me attain a title but helped me in my own journey of the many losses I had suffered.  The “step by step” Grief Recovery process enabled me to identify the emotions associated with each type of loss.  I then worked through the emotions to complete each loss.

Oftentimes we experience losses that we never imagined would happen.  I found in my own journey that the more proactive I was, the better I felt.  I invite you to do the same. It would be my honor to help you with your personal healing journey.
